How about Dual Screen support?
I know quite a few people that have more than one monitor on their system, my wife and I included, and I think the number of people who have Dual Screens has risen pretty consistently in the past few years. I think it would be really nice to have Dual Screen support in GW, allowing a much wider viewable area, and a place to put all our GUI elements, minimizing clutter.
I realize this would be a lot of coding, and it might not pay off for Anet currently, but sometime in the next couple of years, I believe the market for Dual Screen video games will be much better. Something to think about for the future.

I agree, me too That or Guildwiki
I'm thinking something along the lines of, say, Photoshop. Where you can have your main screen be the full image (main view in-game), and the other screen be your utilities/tools (GUI elements). In that case, you could have a website, like GWG, open behind or off to the side of things like your Party window, skillbar, etc. Talk about full immersion!

Isn't it already available if for instance you Click and Drag your Inventory, Map etc. across to your second monitor then you have a monitor dedicated to stats while keeping your main monitor clean to view the scenery uncluttered.

Try going into dual screen configuration panels etc. There should be some sort of option that lets you drag windows into your second monitor by simply dragging them off to side of your main monitor.

That's the thing, the GUI elements in GW are not considered 'windows'. You're right, you can just simply drag windows from one screen to the next, but not in GW. This is what I'm suggesting, the ability to do so. Programs have to be specially coded to allow this, and most games aren't set up this way, GW is no exception.

This is the best thread I found when I searched for dual monitor setup on the forums.
Thats what I have not just like Vilaptca, but my question is...
I want to be able to move my mouse to the other monitor and be able to use the website on that monitor.
Right now I have GW running full screen on one monitor while the other monitor is displaying a web page for example. But if I have GW running full screen then I cannot move my mouse over to the other screen.
My question is how would I do that without running GW in window mode.
And since we are asking question, how do you guys stretch GW to run on 2 monitors. When I did that in the nvidia control panel the other monitor just turned off.
I'm running a GF6800GT

I don't know for sure, but I imagine that's a Direct X issue myself. I can't think of a single game that can do that without switching to windowed mode.
I would love to be able to move the chat window to a second monitor. It's just a shame my second monitor blew up on me a month ago.

Well I had 2 questions:
1- Can I have GW running full screen on one monitor while using the other monitor to browse the net/email/word and other stuff. As it stands now there is not way to do so while GW is in full screen.
(bamm bamm bamm said that he cannot think of a game that does that without switching to window mode)
2- How would I stretch it to 2 monitors?

I got how to display GW on both monitors.
Now, I just want to see if someone is able to surf the net on one monitor while GW is full screen on the other.

to have GW full on 1 and web on the other:
Click on the maximize/restore button on the upper right so it is NOT maximized. Then just drag it out to the edges of your screen. The open a web browser and have it open on the other screen. I usually run it like this, i'll have a map or something open on monitor 2 for reference and GW will be full screen on the other.

Correct me if i'mwrong but that is still windowed mode...just resized.
What people here are referring to is having your game open and be able to access your second monitor while keeping your game fullscreen.
EVE Online let's you click outside the gamewindow in full mode but as soon as you click the game minimizes.

GW set up for dual screens would be a great thing, yeah. I'd love to be able to put the radar / 'U' map, inventory window and maybe some other bits of the gui off to one side and clutter the main screen less. I guess to make all those seperate window-style things that can be moved across would be a fairly major change though, so unlikely. But we can hope....

Yup, thats what I meant.
I need the game in full screen and not window mode.
But I'm starting to think that there is no way to do so.

umm jst out of curiosity, why do you really want the game to run in full screen an not windowed, i guess u have low memory it could lag more but memory cards dont really cost that much (i mean if u can afford dual monitor u can afford the extra 512 comb?)
windowed allows for much more flexible use...
an btw, /signed for the dragging of gw "windows" to second screen

If the second screen was reserved for 2D-stuff (like maps) it would not have a big impact on the 3D-performance.
2D is much more GPU-friendly than 3D.
They could have a static backgroundimage of some sort on the other screen if you wanted to use such a feature.
The DirectX SDK from Microsoft has several multi-monitor samples, and the basics of it is really simple anyways. I have no idea how it would fit with the current GW-code tho.
I strongly second this feature request. My 3360 x 1050 px needs to be filled!
